SUMMARY:Connected Canadians - Information Session
DESCRIPTION:Connected Canadians is a registered charity founded in Ottawa 2018 which focuses on reducing isolation and loneliness among older adults by promoting digital literacy and inclusion through a customized\, person-centered learning approach. Volunteers with high tech comfort levels are paired with senior clients to tackle technology challenges together. \nMany Connected Canadians volunteers are also newcomers. They are able gain cultural awareness through interactions with older clients\, who take pride in helping them integrate into our communities. \nThe Connected Canadians mandate is to reduce isolation and loneliness amongst older adults by promoting digital literacy skills and providing technology training and support. \nThis session offers an opportunity to learn about Connected Canadians in more detail\, ask questions\, and meet some of the team. \nAre you interested in learning more about Connected Canadians and how their charity might benefit people in your community? \nRegister HERE to attending this session! \n
