The most popular Arab folk dance is the Dabke. Dabke is the Arab form of line dancing. Dabke is danced at weddings and other gatherings and on the streets. Dabke started as a way of repairing roofs and soon turned into an entertainment form, spreading to other countries in the Middle East. As better roofing techniques evolved, Dabke also evolved into a more entertaining dance form.

Dabke is a popular dance in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Palestine, danced by men and women of all ages.

Participants are asked to wear comfortable clothing, flat shoes (no heels) and bring water to drink!
