From the 17th to the 28th of June, Algonquin College Pembroke Campus Library has two activities for the community to engage in:
- Spill the Tea: Tea is a drink enjoyed around the globe. Stop by the Library to pick up your take-and-make kit with different types of teas to try and enjoy at home. Learn about the different teas and cultural traditions involving tea using the resources in your kit.
There is an opportunity for participants to share their experience online using both hashtags #CultureConnect and #SpillTheTea.
- Origami or Paper Folding Activity: The art of origami is a beautiful and well-known tradition. Learning origami can be a great way for people of all ages to engage with a different culture. Stop by the Library to pick up a kit with beautifully coloured paper, instructions (or QR codes leading to video instructions) and a resource about the history and tradition of origami.
No registration is necessary. Kits are available while supplies last.
