Don’t miss out on this opportunity to connect with local author Jamie Bramburger as he answers all your questions about the 1942 Almonte train crash. Learn about this important piece of local history from the guy who literally wrote the book!

About:

On a cold Almonte night in December 1942, a military troop train loaded with soldiers crashed into the local train from Pembroke.  The resulting disaster forever changed the lives of people in Renfrew, Pembroke, Almonte, and all across Canada.  Now, local historian and former broadcaster Jamie Bramburger has gathered the stories of survivors, victims, and government documents to share the full story in his latest book: Sudden Impact: The Almonte Train Wreck of 1942.  Join Jamie to hear the whole story, ask questions, and buy a copy of this important piece of history
