All Grade 6, 7 and 8 classrooms are invited to participate in a special Culture Connect virtual guest speaker event with Jeff A.D. Martin on Thursday, June 15, 9:30 – 11 am.

Jeff will Zoom into participating classrooms to discuss the importance of diversity and inclusion within our community. He will also speak on the importance of feeling as if we belong to something bigger than ourselves and our social responsibility towards each other.

Learning Objectives:

• The importance of inclusion
• Understand why some feel isolated when in a group
• The way you see yourself in society versus the way others see you
• Widening your circle of positive influence
• Not letting societal stereotypes stop you

There will be the opportunity to ask our guest speaker questions you might have on diversity and inclusion during a question and answer period. Plus, you’ll learn how you and your class can participate in Diversity Bingo for a chance to win an end-of-year pizza party!
