COVID-19 vaccines are approved for use in Canada and are free of charge. These vaccines are available to everyone eligible to get vaccines by federal, provincial and territorial public health authorities.Â

This applies to:
Â
• Everyone in Canada 5 years of age and older, including those who are not citizens
• Canadians serving in diplomatic and consular missions abroad (and their dependents) living in countries where the Health Canada – approved vaccines are not available.
• Canadian Armed Forces members who are serving abroad in countries where the Health Canada – approved vaccines are not available

COVID-19 vaccines approved for use in Canada include:

• mRNA COVID-19 vaccines:
• Phizer-BioTech Comirnaty for those 5 years of age and older
• Moderna Spikevax for those 12 years of age and older
• Viral vector COVID-19 vaccines:
• AstraZeneca Vaxzevria for those 18 years of age and older
• Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) for those 18 years of age and older

Scheduling your COVID-19 vaccine appointment will depend on which dose you need, where you want to get vaccinated, and your public health unit’s local vaccination plan.Â

Mass immunization clinic:

• You can also book by phone at 1-833-943-3900 (available in over 300 languages)

Participating pharmacy:
• You can book an appointment directly with a local participating pharmacy. Most pharmacies book appointments ahead of time, and some allow walk-ins. Find a pharmacy near you at: COVID-19 pharmacy vaccine locations

Pop-up or mobile clinics:
