Taxi Service:
Private taxi companies offer twenty-four-hour service in most major centres, but plans must be made in advance to book irregular trips at irregular hours.Â
• The average rate is $3.00 – $4.00 starting rate, plus approximately $2.00 per kilometre.   Â
• In general, payment can be made via cash, debit, or credit card. However, it is good practice to have cash available in case of technical difficulties.Â
• To order a taxi, select a company that services your area (most likely one based in the nearest town to you) and call the number provided. The dispatcher will ask where you are and may ask where you are trying to go.Â
• Expect at least a 30-minute wait or call well in advance to ensure you can reach your destination on time.Â
