Connected Canadians is a registered charity founded in Ottawa 2018 which focuses on reducing isolation and loneliness among older adults by promoting digital literacy and inclusion through a customized, person-centered learning approach. Volunteers with high tech comfort levels are paired with senior clients to tackle technology challenges together.
Many Connected Canadians volunteers are also newcomers. They are able gain cultural awareness through interactions with older clients, who take pride in helping them integrate into our communities.
The Connected Canadians mandate is to reduce isolation and loneliness amongst older adults by promoting digital literacy skills and providing technology training and support.
This session offers an opportunity to learn about Connected Canadians in more detail, ask questions, and meet some of the team.
