Tinh, a young Vietnamese refugee, and her family as they embark on a new life in Canada after a perilous journey and a stay in a Malaysian camp. Despite the opportunity for a fresh start, Tinh faces challenges adapting to her new environment, exacerbated by her shy and reserved nature. Learning a new language and integrating into the unfamiliar society add to her struggles. Tinh must confront the traumas of her past journey and summon resilience to navigate her new life and find happiness.
