During this session hosted by the Mashkiwizii Manido Foundation, attendees will explore the answers to the following questions:

  • What is the proper way to approach an Elder or Knowledge Keeper when you would like to request traditional knowledge, teachings, and wisdom?
  • Is there a specific way to enter a Circle? If so, why?
  • What is a tobacco tie, and why should you carry one?
  • What does the Sweat Lodge represent?
  • Why do Indigenous Peoples smudge, what is the significance?
  • What is important to know about Pow Wow?
  • Why is the reclamation of Ceremony so strong now?
  • How do we learn protocols surrounding UNDRIP, and apply them?

This session is open to all and will be guided through open discussions.
