Facebook Neighbourhood: 

When you get access to the feature, you’ll be able to join a Neighbourhood group for your own town, as well as groups for surrounding towns. Nextdoor will let anyone browse the Free Finds section without first creating an account. If you see an item that grabs your attention, you can sign up to contact the neighbour who’s giving it away.

Canoo app:

The Canoo app offers a one-year free membership to over 1400 cultural and outdoor experiences across Canada for eligible newcomers, including permanent residents within the first five years and Canadian citizens within the first 12 months.
