If you are willing to help support an incoming Ukrainian family, please fill out the Volunteer Form to help Ukrainian Diaspora Support Canada identify your specific interests and skills.
The types of volunteer roles needed in each community across Lanark and Renfrew Counties are the following:
- Interpretation/Translation (you speak fluently in Russian and or Ukraine)
- Teaching English to our newcomers
- Health care – our newcomers won’t have OHIP for at least three months after establishing employment
- Mental Health
- Driving people to appointments
- Help with resumes and cover letters
- A location to house donated household items
Based on your responses and available time our volunteer coordinator will match you with an opportunity.
