When we were thinking of immigration, this is what we were looking for — a place to call home.

This is a country of immigrants. With the exception of the First Nations, Inuit, and Metis people, we all came here from somewhere. Newcomers are woven into our national fabric and identity. They drive innovation, often providing advanced skills for the economy plus they have a history of creating many of our largest companies and employers, thus enabling economic growth.
